Gaia - Assembly of the Nations
Yksi taso ylöspäinGaia – Assembly of the Nations is a live action role game about democracy and global education. The game lasts for three hours and it can be played with young people from age 13 up. The game is for a group of 15-35 players and it needs two Game masters. The game manual is available both in English and in Finnish. The game involves practicing democratic decision making, negotiation and different kinds of themes, such as human rights, environment, equality, development and peace. The game situates on an imaginary planet Gaia, which is in one way a parallel universe of the Earth. The aim of the Assembly is to create common decisions to save the planet; save it from drought, wars, violence, climate change, poorness, inequality, environmental crisis, loss of human rights, loss of freedom and so on. The game handles with serious themes but has a twist of humor in it throughout the playing session.
